In this case, the beloved purple dino celebrates the flora, fauna, and all-around fun of the park. The musical collection is a mixture of new and previously aired tunes (from TV\’s Barney & Friends), compiled for their similar themes of picnics (\»Gonna Have a Picnic\»), playgrounds (\»A Swing Is a Beautiful Thing\»), ponds (\»Duckies Do\»), and parades (\»Big Parade of Costumes\»). Between songs, learning concepts such as counting and colors and a storybook reading of the classic tale \»Lion and the Mouse\» cap this woodland excursion. Though filled with predictable pleasures, the film lacks the creative sizzle found in the jazz-rock-folk medleys of More Barney Songs, and Barney\’s new voice-over may take some getting used to.
